DOWNWIND ¨A La’HAWAINA¨ en Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura es una de las 7 Islas Canarias, situada al este de Marruecos (100km), tradicionalmente llamada las isla afortunadas.

Fuerteventura ofrece condiciones privilegiadas para todos los deportes nauticos durante todo el año. Es considerado por todos los surfistas Canarios (wind / kite / surf / SUP) como la ¨joya ¨de las Islas Canarias.

Fuerteventura es el único lugar en Europa que reúne las condiciones ideales para la realización de un downwind en esta época del año

Por todas estas razones, creemos que el ¨Fuerteventura Downwind¨ se va a convertir en El Evento SUP Europeo.

EL DOWNWIND

El inicio de la carrera tendra lugar en la bahía de Corralejo, con un recorido de más de 8,5 km a lo largo de la costa hasta la playa de llegada, ¨El Burro¨. Los vientos durante este periodo son del Norte / Noreste de 15 a 25 nudos, generando olas de hasta 2 m … Condiciones perfectas para la realización de un Downwind, los corredores van empujados por el viento y las olas.

Este evento es una oportunidad para los aficionados de Stand Up Paddle de vivir una downwind en las mejores condiciones y de descubrir un destino de ensueño para su práctica.

Desarrollo de la carrera

Entrada en frente del restaurante La Sirena para alcanzar la linea de salida en la bahía de Corralejo.

La salida está dado por una señal sonora.

Los corredores se desplazan hasta la 1ra boya, situada a 1.600m entre la bahía de Corralejo y la isla de Lobos, para entonces deslizar viento atrás sobre mas de 8km hasta la meta ¨El Burro¨. Todas las boyas se dejaran por la derecha

Durante el evento abra unos talleres de Aerial Gym, ( Equilibrio, Streching y Harmonía ) para recuperar después del esfuerzo por parte de Sylvie Renart ( 3 veces campeona del mundo de velocidad en Windsurf, 92, 93 y 94 ). Todos están invitados a probar

Fuerteventura offre des conditions privilégiées pour tous les sports nautiques durant toute l’année. Elle est considéré par tous les surfeurs Canariens ( wind/kite/surf/SUP ) comme le ¨joyau¨ des iles Canaries

Fuerteventura est le seul endroit en Europe qui réunit les conditions idéales pour la réalisation d’un downwind á cette période de l’année

Pour toutes ces raisons, nous pouvons croire Que le ¨Fuerteventura Downwind¨est en passe de devenir l’Evénement SUP Européen.

LE DOWNWIND

Le départ de la course s’effectue dans la baie de Corralejo sur un parcours de plus de 8,5km, longeant la côte, jusqu’à la plage d’arrivée, ¨El Burro¨. Les vents dominants durant cette période sont Nord / Nord-Est, 15 a 25 noeuds, générant une houle pouvant atteindre 2m…  Des conditions parfaites pour la réalisation d’un downwind, les coureurs sont poussés par la force du vent et de la houle.

Cet évènement est l’occasion pour les passionnés de Stand Up Paddle de vivre un Downwind dans les meilleurs conditions et de découvrir une destination de rêve pour leur pratique.

Déroulement de la course

Mise a l’eau en face du restaurant La Sirena pour rejoindre la ligne de départ dans la baie de Corralejo.

Le départ est donné par un signal sonore.

Les coureurs évoluent jusqu’à la 1ere bouée de dégagement, située a 1.600m entre la baie de Corralejo et l’ile de Lobos, pour ensuite glisser vent arrière sur plus de 8km jusqu’à l’arrivée ¨El Burro¨. Toutes les bouées seront laissées à tribord.

Pendant l’évènement, des ateliers d’Aerial Gym ( une methode d’equilibre et de récupération ) seront  proposés par Sylvie Renart, ( 3 fois championne du monde de vitesse en Planche a Voile  92, 93 et 94 ). Tout le monde est invité a y participer.

‪The start of the race takes place in the bay of Corralejo on a distance of more than 8.5 km along the coast, to the beach finish,¨El Burro¨.‬ ‪Prevailing winds during this period are North / North-East, 15 to 25 knots, generating waves up to 2m … Perfect conditions for the realization of a downwind, riders are pushed by wind and waves.

‪Entry in front of La Sirena restaurant to join the starting line in the bay of Corralejo.‬

‪The start is given by a beep.‬

‪The riders move to the 1st buoy, located 1.600m, between the bay of Corralejo and the island of Lobos, and then drag downwind over 8km to the finish ¨El Burro¨.‬ ‪All buoys will be left to starboard.‬
